The Power of Authentic Beauty

A Celebrity Makeup Artist’s Guide To Looking Luminous and Modern At Every Age

In a beauty industry obsessed with erasing and transforming, The Power of Authentic Beauty offers a fresh, elevated alternative: working with your features, rather than against them, to achieve modern, timeless, and ageless results that never feel heavy or overdone.

What does a makeup artist see when she looks at your face?

Where the light could create freshness. Where a little contrast could bring definition. Where a softer edge could change the balance. And where nothing needs to be added at all.

After more than three decades working on faces, Robin Schoen knows that even the smallest, most considered adjustments can have the remarkable impact. In The Power of Authentic Beauty, she shares the thinking behind her artistry, teaching you how to recognize what your face needs now.

What we see in the mirror is often entangled with memories, familiar habits, and expectations. This book invites you to look with fresh awareness and become curious about how light, color, texture, and placement can work together to maintain the integrity of your individual beauty.

Your face has evolved. Has your makeup?

Stop trying to recreate the face you had ten years ago. Start illuminating the face you have today.
